George W. Brodie, born May 17, 1883 at Marlette, Mich. He was the fifth of ten children. He survived them all, with the exception of one sister, Lucy. He married Pearl Spencer. Died Sep 7, 1971. Age 88 Yrs. Buried in Curtisville Cemetery Sep 10, 1971.
Rosetta Pearl Spencer born Sept. 4, 1891 at Curtisville, Mich. Passed away Aug. 21, 1962, Age 70. Buried in Curtisville Cemetery.
In 1916, George Brodie owned 80 acres located in SE 1/4, NE 1/4, Section 8 and SE 1/4, NW 1/4, Section 9, T25N - R5E, Cursti Township.

Pearl and George were married in Glennie, Mich. March 10, 1909 by the Rev. George H. Smith, a Methodist minister. Witnesses to the marriage were John E. Lewis and Elizabeth Lewis of Biggs, Mich. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a party given for them by their children at the Glennie Curtis Twp. Hall, March 10, 1959.
Brodies bought land from Wesley and Bessie Redmond May 13, 1915. They bought more land for back taxes and paid off final mortgages July 12, 1940.
They gave an acre of land to Truman and Florence La Fleur Dec. 16, 1940. Two acres to Bert and Betty Brodie Aug. 29, 1945. One acre to Duwayne and Hazel Barnes Aug. 25, 1958
George and Pearl Brodie had six children:
Floyd born Jan. 7, 1910, married Lavonne Vandervert of Saginaw, no children.
